Service Agreements and Disclaimers

ChefNeighbors is a platform to provide food services via internet. We're providing you with food from the world to your doorstep. As a provider, you'll abide Federal, State and local rules, laws and regulations. Please review our service agreement before signing up as a provider.

As a provider, you are required to provide the following:

Your full legal name and a copy of your federal/state issued identification card.
A copy of your business license.
A copy of your Food Handler's Permit from your respective county/city.
A copy of your Cottage Food Operator's License.
A copy of your Microenterprise Home Kitchen certificate/license.
A copy of your most recent background/credit check report.
A copy of your liability insurance certificate.
Any additional certifications, i.e. ServSafe, Prometric, Yelp... etc.

Additional information

In California, there are also other requirements operating as a Microenterprise Home Kitchen Operation (MEHKO) (Please refer to California AB626 and California AB377) and Cottage Food Operation (Please refer to California AB1616). For more information, please contact your city, county or state environmental health department or public health department. For labeling food products, please contact your respective city, county and state health and safety agencies.

For Cottage Food Operation:

Class "A" or Class"B" license.

Limited to $50,000 gross sales per year.

For Microenterprise Home Kitchen Operation:

30 meals per day, no more than 60 meals per week.

For chefs:

ChefNeighbors charges a 20% of maintenance fee of your annual gross sales.
Chefs must keep up-to-date permits, business licenses and/or liability insurance for inspection. This is not limited to chef's accounting, payroll and expenses reports for inspection.
Please be ready for periodic unannounced inspection of your site and food products.
Chefs are not to circumvent ChefNeighbors to contact customers directly or indirectly unless an approval is obtained from ChefNeighbors. .Any violation will result chef's immediate termination with the ChefNeighbors' platform..
Labeling requirements are limited to the nutritional facts on the containers but "Made from home", date made, as well as your contact information, must be visible on the food containers
Please provide safe, clean and environmental friendly utensils and containers to package food items.
All chefs are self-employed independent contractor.

for customers:

All food products ordered are non-refundable once the orders have been processed.
Tips and gratuities are strongly recommended.
A delivery service fee might be applied.
